Delete your MyWill account

MyWill, by BashSquare

You can permanently delete your MyWill account and all associated data at any time. This page explains how to request deletion, what happens next, and what data is deleted or kept.

How to delete your account

  1. Open the MyWill app and sign in.
  2. Go to the Account tab (your profile).
  3. Scroll to the Danger Zone and tap “Delete Account”.
  4. Confirm. Your account is deactivated immediately.

If you cannot access the app, email [email protected] from your registered email address and we will process your request.

What happens next

  • Grace period (30 days). Your account is deactivated but recoverable. If you change your mind, simply sign back in within 30 days and everything is restored.
  • Reminder. We notify you 3 days before permanent deletion.
  • Permanent deletion (after 30 days). Your account and all associated data are permanently and irreversibly deleted.

What data is deleted

Everything associated with your account, including:

  • Your profile (name, username, email, phone, photo)
  • All your wills and their content
  • Uploaded documents and files (IDs, certificates, vault documents)
  • Bookings, chat messages, and notifications
  • Subscription and payment records held in the app
  • For lawyer accounts: your lawyer profile and payout details

What data is kept

After the 30-day grace period, no data that identifies you is retained. We may keep anonymized, aggregated information that cannot identify you, and any records we are legally required to retain — for example transaction records needed for accounting or tax purposes.

Delete some data without deleting your account

You don’t have to delete your whole account to remove data. You can delete individual wills and documents from within the app at any time.
